Iron, calcium, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals and the list does not end. Poor mother is unable to think how to balance all in the small meals that a child takes, especially when children do not like to take the same food and are moody. The cooking skills of the mother are challenged for the first time. Her experience fails in front of the small creature. There is nothing to worry as a small meal can be made healthy.
- Take little curd. Add three teaspoons of semolina to curd and form a thick mixture, enough to make a pancake. Take some vegetables like broccoli, carrot, beans, tomato, and onion and grind them to form a paste. Add them to the semolina-curd mixture and whip it properly. Take little oil on pan. Spread the mixture to form a pancake. Toss it on both sides and here a good meal is ready for your child. Take small piece of the pancake, mash and then give it in case the child is not able to chew it. One can also soak these small pieces in milk and form a paste.
- Take little curd. Grate the vegetables if your baby can chew else grind the vegetables like carrot, broccoli, beans, tomato, cabbage (or for that matter any vegetable you think good for your child) into a paste. Then add it to curd. Mix well and add little salt and pepper. This tastes really amazing.
- Take rice and lentil. Wash and then dry it till it loses all water content. Roast these with little oil till it turns a little brown. Grind it into a powder without any water and keep it in an airtight container.This becomes a ready to use mixture. Whenever you are in a hurry, just boil water, add two tablespoons of the mixture and add finely chopped/grated vegetables and here is the soup ready with all the vitamins, minerals, carbohydrates and proteins.
