Things You’ll Need:
- Egg Roll Wraps
- Cabbage cut into slices (half the head)
- Carrots cut into slices
- Peanut or vegetable oil
- One egg (beaten)
- Deep fryer
Once you have gotten everything from your local super market you can start making you homemade egg rolls.
The first step to making egg rolls is to preheat your deep fryer. While your deep fryer if preheating thoroughly add the oil of your choice to your deep fryer.
While th oil is getting hot in the deep fryer lay your wraps down on a clean paper towel. You wanna make sure the points of the egg roll wrap is pointing up and down. After that fill the egg rolls with your thinly sliced cabbage, carrots, and sprouts.
Now to wrap your egg rolls you must grab the bottom point of the wrap and fold it over the very top filling. You will need to fold the sides to the middle and roll everything towards the top point of the wrap.
One good old fashion way to seal an egg roll is to take one beaten egg in a small bowl and dip your finger in the beaten egg. Then smoothly take your finger and glue all the openings shut so no oil can get in.
Their is no true set time for this meal cause everyone’s deep fryers are different. So only put 3 to 5 egg rolls in at a time and take them out when they are crispy brown.
Once their done in the deep fryer roll the egg rolls in oil for a even more brown wrapper.
You want to serve your egg roll right when your done covering them with the oil. Cause that’s the best they will ever be.
