  1. Step 1

First you need to decide where you want to go and how much you want to spend. Then you need to make sure that you have a camper, Rv, Fifth wheel pop up or some type of camper to get you around.

  2. Step 2

When it comes to make a summer vacation in an RV it can be a little intimidating at first but have no fear you will find what you need. The internet is the gateway to the world. Everything you need is right here, and search engines make it a whole lot easier to find what you need.

  3. Step 3

Hold a family meeting. Let everyone know that you are considering a RV trip for the summer or the week or how ever long you plan on doing this. Take a vote to make sure that every one would enjoy it. In case you aren’t sure if they will get your research out and show them how much fun it can be.

  4. Step 4

Take a family vote on where you will go and what you will do. If you have a large family it may be a little easier to have each person pick one activity to do. For instance you husband would like to go to a Laker’s game, little Jimmy wants to see a war reenactment, Susy wants to go to Disney land and so on. Or you can decide to go to every baseball stadium in the United States. Or you can eat at famous restaurants or even go to every capitol in every state. There are so many ideas that you could do.

  5. Step 5

Once you have figured out where you are going to go. You need to get on the internet and find out where the place is located, what time they open, and how much the admission cost.

  6. Step 6

Once you have figured out this information you need to get directions on how to get there. Time it will take to get where you are going.

  7. Step 7

You will want to find any truck stops along the way and make sure they have what you will need. If they sell propane, public restrooms. It is a good idea that you mark major gas stations and such because most small places don’t offer public restrooms.

  8. Step 8

Then you need to figure out where you are going to park. I have listed a great website below that list campgrounds for different states in one website for you. Simply click on the state, and you are off. It will list the amenities and various things that the campground offers. You will then need to find out how much the campground cost for hook up, most have daily rates, while you have them on the phone if you know when you are going to be arriving set a reservation.

  9. Step 9

Get directions from the campground to each of the attractions in that area.

  10. Step 10

Make a check list as you are planning your trip for example if one or more of the campgrounds you are going to be staying at has a lake and offers fishing then make sure to bring your fishing poles and other equipment. Also make sure you pack a first aid kit and make sure you have any insurance cards needed.
