Recipe For Baked Chicken.

If you are tired of frying chicken this is a great recipe. I know we all get tired of fried food from time to time.This is a great tasting recipe. We all need to find something to replace our fried foods on occasion. My family loves fried chicken, but they enjoy this for a change. It tastes great, and is much healthier for you than having fried foods all the time.

Items you wil need to prepare your baked chicken:

2 to 4 pounds chicken leg quarters (you can substitute breasts if you prefer)
2 cups flour
2 cups Italian bread crumbs
4 tablespoons tony chachere’s seasoning (or your prefered seasoning choices)
1 tablespoon garlic powder (more or less to your taste)
1 gallon zip lock bag

Add the 2 cups flour, 2 cups Italian bread crumbs, and spices into the zip lock bag, and shake well. Add the chicken to your flour mixture and shake well. Be sure the chicken is well coated.

A large glass baking dish is needed for the chicken. Coat the dish with pam to prevent the chicken from sticking to the dish.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees, this can be started while you are preparing your chicken for baking. Place the well coated chicken into your pans, place into your hot oven.

Cook about 30 minutes on one side then turn, and cook about 10 minutes on the other side. The cooking time may vary slightly depending on your oven.

Serve your chicken with fresh vegtables, or your preferd side dishes. You will enjoy the chicken, and feel better about skipping one fried meal with a great substitute.
