Review of “Fight With Tools” by The Flobots

“Fight With Tools” by the Flobots could best be described as political rap.  The rhymes are downright genius.  Take, for example,

“a threat for a threat leaves the whole world terrified
blow for blow never settles the score
word for word is time need clarify
We the people did not want war”

From the song “Stand Up”, which is quickly gaining popularity.  From my own persective, this set of lyrics pretty well sums up the entire album.  This album serves as a social commentary for the generation who inherited the political, social, and economic mess America finds herself in today.

Set behind the lyrics is a blend of violin and beat box, a blend of music that actually works, and works quite well.  I am an avid fan of music, and this album is definitely the best I have heard in years.
