Medical marijuana has been legalized is some states in the US. There are many health benefits for medical marijuana. There are some harm to smoking mj like the cancerous effects of smoke or that it makes a person hallucinate or gain weight or become slower. There are some states that haven’t legalize it yet but they should definitely think about it since it will be beneficial for many patients. There are control measure as to how much or who can get their hands on medical marijuana so they don’t need to worry too much about abuse of it.
Sixteen states have legalized medical marijuana: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado,Hawaii, Maine, Michigan, Montana,Nevada, New Jersey,New Mexico,Oregon, Rhode Island,Vermont,Virginia, and Washington. If you’re living in these states, then you can use medical marijuana for your health problems.
If a person is required to registered as a patient in order to use marijuana then I don’t see it as a problem. Of course there is potential for abuse but the doctor can set limits of the amount of marijuana that they can use so it’s not like it will be highly abused. If it works as a medicine then it should be taking advantage of.
