Found in the streets of Montreal, this poor pupper was so filthy that it was hard to tell that he was actually a dog.

He could barely move underneath all his matted hair. But look how dapper he looks after his cleanup!

#15. Miley

Now Miley is happy and healthy with her new family. You won’t believe how lovely our next pupper looks.

#14. Kenzi

Kenzi was taken in by the Cocker Spaniel Rescue of Austin San Antonio from San Antonio as an abuse/neglect case.

Her amazing glow up shows what some tender loving care and soothing baths can do for your looks and your heart.

#13. Ellen

Trio Animal Foundation went and picked up what seemed a clump of matted fur from an open-access shelter.

They shaved 2 pounds of fur off her! Now, this 2-year-old girl is ready for her new life to begin.

#12. Dolly

This little poodle was spotted eating from a trash can in Los Angeles.

Luckily, Hope For Paws helped the little girl become fluffy and charming again, removing 10 pounds of fur from the 15-pound pooch.

#11. Theo

Theo’s owners moved away and left the poor pupper on the streets, where he spent about a year until Hope For Paws rescued him.

The next pupper is responsible for melting several people’s heart.

#10. Little Betty

Little Betty was abandoned by her owners. But luckily she was rescued and she is now ready for a new home.

The next one is one of our favorites!

#9. Woody

Woody was dumped on the streets after his owner passed away. The poor boy hid for months and wouldn’t let anyone near him. The rescuers soon realized that the dog was blind in one eye.

Despite his fear, he surrendered to the rescuers’ gentle touch and now he is back to his handsome self.

#8. Treasure

Treasure is a 2-year-old female purebred miniature poodle who was severely neglected before being spotted by a passing motorist who brought her to the Natchez-Adams County Humane Society.

Because of her matted, thick, and dirty hair, she couldn’t even walk anymore! Luckily, all it took was a visit to the vet and the beautiful Treasure emerged again. The next doggy was completely unrecognizable after the glow up!

#7. Alana

Alana was surrendered to the shelter severely matted and dirty, hardly recognizable as a dog. They needed to shave her completely, because all the matted fur made it impossible to give her vaccinations.

Without the fur, they realized she was much younger than what they thought! The sweet little dog found her forever home. Slide next to meet Boo!

#6. Boo

Boo was brought to the CARES Community Animal Rescue & Educational Shelter in Florida after being found on the side of the road.

After being cleaned up and groomed, she weighed only 2,8 pounds and looked absolutely adorable. Up next, the story of a dog that was found in Mexico!

#5. Iggy

This poor guy was found barely alive in Mexico with a horrible eye infection. Someone uploaded a picture of him to Facebook and people were so touched that they donated money to transport the guy into the U.S. and treat his injury.

Now it is hard to keep Iggy still – all he wants is to run around and play with his friends.

#4. Vita

A man found Vita, starving and close to death, in a junkyard in the Los Angeles area. She weighed only 70 pounds! It took months for rescuers to help her rehabilitate.

But with good veterinary care, grooming and a proper diet, she’s a new dog.

#3. Cedar

Cedar was named after the Golf Course close to where he was found. He was hairless from stress, with bones poking through his skin.

Since then, Cedar has found a great home with good care, where he fits right in.

#2. Olivia

You wouldn’t recognize our pretty girl Olivia a year before this picture was taken. Her owner found her starving to death, her bones poking through her skin.

It’s amazing what difference a year of good care and loving can make!

#1. Shrek

Shrek was found barely moving, with legs covered in sores and fur completely matted and with mud.

After his excess hair was removed and his wounds were cared for, he was discovered to be a 6-year-old malti-poo dog. Soon Shrek found a loving home.
