As the first notes of the song began playing, the guests realized that they were listening to a country song. It was Mark Wills’ emotional song titled “Like There’s No Yesterday,” which wasn’t even a hit, but it meant a lot to Melissa and Brad!

You see, both Melissa and Brad loved the popular Nashville country singer, and would usually go to his concerts whenever they could. This is how they fell in love with that song that they chose for their first dance.

Out of nowhere, the music stopped. It only played for about 10 seconds, so what could be wrong? The bride and her groom were gliding across the room and then as the vinyl began screeching, they had to stop.
Melissa was with her back at the stage and wondered what was going on. She asked Brad what happened, but when she turned to face the DJ, her jaw literally dropped!
#10. Handling the Situation
Thinking something went wrong with the laptop, Melissa heard the DJ who took the mic and said he’s going to “save the day.” We’ve got to say that the bride was graceful in handling the situation.
She kept a smile on her face in front of the guests and was patiently waiting for the music to start again. Brad tried to look surprised and his master plan worked. The music started again, but it was different. That’s when Melissa turned around and completely lost it!

The bride heard the DJ saying that there was something wrong with the disk, but they could save this dance: “we do have a keyboardist, so we’re going to do a live version, if you don’t mind.” Anthing was better than dancing without their song…
What could have been so shocking that made Melissa react this was, you may ask yourselves. When the music started again and things seemed to go back to normal, Melissa heard the singer’s voice and immediately turned around!
#8. Brad Made Sure to Turn Melissa Away
You see, as the first notes of the keyboard began playing, Melissa was cleverly turned away from the stage by Brad. He slowly turned his bride in a circle and as she faced the stage, she saw someone with a guitar was on the stage.
Stunned to see him, Melissa’s eyes filled with tears as she gasped for air! It was none other than Mark Wills! Brad managed to book the singer to sing their song at the wedding! Melissa was in shock!

Just a few seconds before Melissa saw Wills, the guests did their best to keep it cool so that they won’t ruin the surprise. As she turned away to see who was singing their song, her priceless reaction brought tears to everyone’s eyes!

As the final notes of the song played off, the newlyweds slowly got towards the stage. Tears were streaming down Melissa’s face, not expecting to see Wills at her wedding. But what she didn’t know was that Mark Wills was not done for the night!
Melissa thanked Mark for being there for their wedding and told him how surprised she was. She also let him know that two were huge fans, but he had already figured it out after seeing her reaction.

The singer wrapped it up with a meet and greet with the newlyweds, wishing them good fortune in their marriage. He also shared a hug with the bride who was still trying to process the big surprise.
