Between 1899 and 1902, during the Second Boer War, the building was used as a prison.

According to the local legend, in the 1700s the Governor Pieter Van Noodt executed several men and one of them cursed him to death before he was dead. Ancient Ram Inn was built in 1145 and it had been many things that you can imagine -any of them friendly to people of course. First, it was a priest’s residence, later it became a house of masons and slaves, a hotel and a public house. Nowadays, the house is believed to be the home of ghosts of children, a priest and even a demon! Do you dare to stay there?
#2. Isla De Muñecas
Mexico has many touristic places to visit and enjoy but if you are looking for real adrenaline, we recommend you visit Isla De Muñecas or The Island Of The Dolls. Located in the channels of Xochimilco on the chinampa - an artificial island created by the Aztecs- of Laguna De Teshuilo. Visits are allowed nowadays.
The former owner of the island was Julian Santana Barrera that started to put dolls and parts of them around the island to protect his soul from a spirit of a young girl that was founded drowned in the channels in the 1950s. According to Barrera, he started to feel the presence of the girl and decided to put the dolls to “scare” the spirit. In 2001 Barrera died from a heart attack and some people said he was found dead at the same spot where the young girl died fifty years before.

Some of the bodies were found in the forest but some of them haven't been found up to these days.
