The 31 Biggest Fails In Movies And TV You Didn't Notice

#31. Bad Boys

Although it is easily confused with another movie of the same name starring Will Smith,, we are referring to the one released in 1983 starring Sean Penn. Bad Boys was a good movie, but at one point, it showed one of the cameramen on the screen.

To avoid this mistake, most directors do several takes from different angles, but here, the direcfor clearly got several camera men to film at the same time. The result? This embarrassing mistake.

#30. Pirates Of The Caribbean: The Curse Of The Black Pearl

Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl is one of the best movies released in the 2000s, and despite all the big bucks that Disney shelled out to produce it, the movie came out with a few mistakes.

If you look closely to the left, a crew member with a white cowboy hat, something that clearly did not exist in the time of pirates, can be seen just hanging out. They could've at least given him a pirate hat!

#29. Game Of Thrones

Game of Thrones has been both one of the most successful and most profitable TV shows of all time, and it is also an example of how money can't buy you a show without mistakes.

Viewers were already pretty upset with how things were going during season 8, but when they spotted a Starbucks cup on the table, the internet lost it. HBO reportedly spent $5 million to erase the mistake and re-release the footage a week later, but the damage was done already.

#28. The Matrix

The Matrix was a groundbreaking production that revitalized the sci-fi genre and revolutionized the filming methods Hollywood had been using for years. The production of the movie took many risks and they paid off, but they had many slips in the process.

In one scene, the camera can be clearly seen in the reflection of a doorknob. If you ignore that goof, the shot is pretty cool.

#27. Back To The Future

Back to the Future is one of the best movies ever made, especially considering it was made in the '80s. It has better special effects than many current movies and the story is always entertaining, but it was not free from errors.

For example, the odometer of the famous DeLorean drastically changes numbers between takes. How could it count 33062 miles and then have a hundred miles less in the next scene? The car mileage seems to time travel on its own.

#26. The Simpsons

The Simpsons has been around for so many years that it is no surprise there are not only many inconsistencies in the story, but also many production and continuity mistakes in it.

For example, in the episode And Maggie Makes Three, the whole story revolves around how Marge got pregnant with Maggie, yet there's a picture of Maggie, who hasn't been born, on the wall. This one is just unforgivable!

#25. Jurassic Park

In comparison with modern movies, Jurassic Park's special effects still hold up. While most movies nowadays rely on too much CGI, Jurassic Park was all about realistic props.

In one scene, however, you can see a crew member pushing the velociraptor animatronic into the scene. And to think we were terrified of those velociraptors when we were kids...

#24. Braveheart

Braveheart tells the amazing story of William Wallace, a real-life hero who fought for the independence of Scottland. Most of the movie takes place outside in beautiful fields of green, but at one point, a white car can be seen in the background.

This completely ruins the mood considering it happens in one of the most climactic scenes.

#23. Red Dragon

Red Dragon is the third installment of the series following the story of serial killer Hannibal Lecter, played by Anthony Hopkins. Although the movies were released several years apart, the story itself takes place between 1980 and 1991.

Yet, a copy of a Mrs. Doubtfire VHS can be seen in one scene, a movie that was released in 1993. Only a trained eye would spot this, but the production crew should've seen this coming.

#22. Downtown Abbey

British drama Downtown Abbey is set in the 1920s, as can be clearly deduced by the clothes, sets, and overall tone of the show. However, in one of the promotional photos for the show, a plastic bottle can be seen on the mantel in the background.

They could've figured out a way to explain themselves out of the situation if the plastic bottle hadn't been invented in 1947.

#21. Quantum Of Solace

OK, this one is kind of intentional, and we can't figure out what the director was even thinking when he gave this scene the green light. In a scene of the James Bond movie Quantum of Solace, a man can be seen in the background sweeping the air.

Yes, he is sweeping, but not touching the floor. Apparently, the sound of the sweeping was too loud so the director instructed the extra to pretend he was sweeping and well... he did that.

#20. Jaws

Jaws is one of the best movies ever, and people love it so much that criticizing it may be a little controversial. But like most of the things we know and love, this movie isn't perfect

. In a scene where everybody sets out into the water in several boats, you can see a cameraman and the whole filming equipment on one boat to the right. It only shows up for a few seconds, so it is very easy to miss.

#19. Anaconda

Anaconda isn't by any means a perfect movie, but it is remembered fondly by most people as an entertaining movie about people getting killed by a huge snake.

A really funny goof that can be seen in the movie is a waterfall flowing backwards. The water goes up instead of down, for whatever reason. It defies the laws of physics and it's a delight to watch.

#18. Avengers: Infinity War

Avengers: Infinity War is one of the most successful superhero movies of all time. This masterpiece of cinema heavily relied on CGI, and while the quality is excellent, it seems that the editors missed one important piece of the film for only a few seconds.

Only a trained eye would spot it, but the eyes of Mantis, which are usually jet black, look like regular human eyes for a few moments.

#17. Jurassic Park... Again

We have already established that Jurassic Park is awesome, but this goof is almost unforgivable. Back in the '90s, they didn't have the sophisticated software we enjoy today such as video calls, so they had to play a video and simulate a video call for a scene.

The problem is that they forgot to hide the progress bar of the media player at the bottom of the screen, which clearly reveals it was a video all along.

#16. Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace

Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace is widely regarded as one of, if not the, worst Star Wars movies. While this prequel had a technological advantage against the first movies, which were filmed in the '70s, they lacked attention to detail.

On the left, you can see Samuel L. Jackson's double, while he is nowhere to be found.

15. Friends

Friends is an iconic television show that everyone knows and loves. Even though it aired through the '90s and early 2000s, it has become one the most streamed shows online and people love rewatching it over and over.

If you are an avid Friends rewatcher, you may have noticed Monica is suddenly replaced by an extra in the episode The One with the Mugging. And this is not the last time the show will appear on our list...

#14. Gladiator

Gladiator is a spectacular film based on the gladiator fights in the Roman Empire. We are no history experts, but we are pretty sure that there were no such things as gas tanks at that point in history.

During an action sequence, a chariot is knocked over and the tank under it can be seen for just a couple seconds. What a way to ruin the magic of the movie!

#13. The Big Bang Theory

It is ironic that THe Big Bang Theory, a show about a group of nerds who love to dissect TV shows, movies and video games, would have a huge continuity error that the characters of the show would instantly recognize.

In one episode, it is said that their elevator has been broken for two years. Then, in the flashback episode, The Staircase Implementation, they establish that Leonard broke it seven years ago. Explain that, show!

#12. Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope

This goof in Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope happens in the blink of an eye, but when you see it, it's hilarious. There's a scene where a group of stormtroopers are chasing the heroes and one of them hits his head with the door frame.

The actor himself, Laurie Goode, admitted that it was real, and that it happened because he was distracted by his upset stomach. Poor guy!

#11. Modern Family

After the whole "Starbucks cup in Game of Thrones" fiasco broke the internet, Modern Family star Eric Stonestreet defended the show claiming nobody is perfect.

He shared a picture on his Instagram account that shows how a crew member can be seen in a scene of Modern Family with the caption "It happens to the best of us. True that!

#10. Superman: The Movie

Not many people remember Superman: The Movie, and therefore, not many remember this goof. Marlon Brando was famous for doing hilariously weird stuff on set, and he allegedly wrote some of his lines on the baby for this scene because he couldn't bother to remember them.

If it looks like he's reading off the baby, it's because he is. Also, his Rolex can be seen in that same scene, which does not go with the whole alien-from-space theme that he is supposed to have going on.

#9. Seinfeld

Seinfeld had a lot of strange episodes, but this one wasn't strange on purpose.

While the show was famous for its attention to every detail, they missed the fact that, in the episode where the gang is stuck in a parking lot, the camera crew can be seen in the reflection of a car that is passing by. It is only there for about a second, but die-hard fans noticed.

#8. The X-Files

It was a common mistake of older shows not to realize that crew members could be seen on the side of the shot before TV series changed to widescreen. One of these goofs happened in the forever iconic The X-Files, where a boom operator wearing shorts can be spotted on the left.

When it originally aired on TV it could not be seen, and it was actually spotted for the first time when network TV aired it years later.

#7. Chasing Amy

As opposed to many of the fails seen on this list, this one from Chasing Amy is extremely obvious. In a scene where Ben Affleck is walking down the street, the reflection of the whole camera crew can be seen on the many shop windows he walks past.

Director Kevin Smith even admitted he jut doesn't pay attention to these things and it happens to him all the time.

#6. Friends

As we anticipated before, Friends is on our list again, only this time, for a continuity error. You don't have to be a die-hard fan of the show to know that Rachel and Monica's apartment number is 20, while Joey and Chandler's is 19.

In one episode, however, they are seen as "4" and "5". Luckily, it was fixed by the next episode.

#5. Rumble In The Bronx

The '90s were known for a lack of technological knowledge. People acted as if computers could do magic, and intricate parts of certain objects in movies were often missing, like cables and buttons.

One moment in Rumble in the Bronx is infamous for an act of this kind, as a kid is seen aggressively playing with his Sega Game Gear which has no game cartridge in it. The kid actor was great at pretending to play, though!

#4. Avengers: Endgame

Avengers: Endgame is is now the highest-grossing film of all time. A lot of money was also spent in order to make it, but not all the money in the world can buy perfect CGI.

During the final battle of the movie, one of the fighters in the bottom right corner suddenly freezes for a few moments before he continues to fight. With everything else that is going on at that moment, it is difficult to see, but as always, the internet discovered it.

#3. North By Northwest

This epic fail from North by Northwest is a classic one adored by all movie-fail lovers. There is a scene where a gun is fired at a restaurant, and moments before the attack even happens, a kid in the background is covering his ears in anticipation of the loud noise.

The adorable fail just makes the movie even more awesome than it already is.

#2. Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope

This fail from Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope is actually disputed by star Mark Hamill himself. Opinions are divided on this subject, but let's talk about both sides.

Many people believe that Hamill accidentally called Carrie Fisher's character of Princess Leia "Carrie" in one scene, while others claim he was just saying "there she". Whatever the real story is, the line just doesn't fit with the movie anyway.

#1.Raiders Of The Lost Ark

On one scene of the ever legendary Raiders of the Lost Ark, we see our favorite archaeologist, Indiana Jones, face a deadly cobra. The cobra was very much real, as well as the glass that was between her and Harrison Ford to protect him from the deadly animal.

The reflection of the glass can be seen at the bottom left corner.
