#25. Pretty Woman (1990)

Every Millennial should remember this movie, and if not, you'd better get yourself some popcorn and click "play" because this is a must when we talk about romantic comedies. With the handsome Richard Gere and the amazing Julia Roberts, you know that this movie is going to be really entertaining.

The storyline is about a businessman who needs some company to attend to some social events, so he hires Vivian, a prostitute, to do the job, but it only took them a little time together to fall head over heels for each other. And yes! That's how we start the list, are you ready for the next one?

#24. Groundhog Day (1993)

In this movie we can see Bill Murray playing a TV weatherman who was supposed to cover the Groundhog Day, but something strange happened and now he's in a time loop and despite of how annoying and frustrating it could be to live the same day over and over again, he found a way to make this worthwhile and even romantic!

At first, Phil Connors uses the time loop for selfish purposes, but as the time goes by, he begins to have feelings for Rita Hanson, the news producer played by Andie MacDowell, so he uses the possibility to repeat the same day to change his behavior and that's how he wins Rita's heart. A cute film that makes you feel like watching it over and over again, doesn't it?

#23. Roman Holiday (1953)

Everybody wants to havea royal princess life, but that wasn't what Princess Ann, played by Audrey Hepburn, wanted. Ann is so bored in her country's embassy that she decides to get away from the guardians and go for a walk through Rome pretending to be a normal woman.

During her time in the city, she meets Joe Bradley, a news reporter played by Gregory Peck, and after spending a day visiting some of the most famous buildings in Rome, you can guess that love is about to catch them. This movie has left us some amazing memories of them riding a Vespa around Rome. Absolutely lovely, as the following film!

#22. Four Weddings And A Funeral (1994)

While Andie MacDowell was promoting the movie Groundhog Day, she received the offer to make another film, and luckily she accepted. The cast counted with the amazing Hugh Grant as Charles, and this couple had the easiest work thanks to the chemistry between them, so without a doubt this movie was a real hit.

The main plot is about a group of friends who always meet at different social events, so during a wedding Charles meets Carrie, an American woman who after spending the night together has to go back to the USA. They continue crossing paths in other weddings and of course, at a funeral too, but if you want to know the rest of the story, then you should watch it!

#21. Sabrina (1954)

Who has not suffered after being heartbroken? Well, that's what happened to the poor Sabrina, played by the talented Audrey Hepburn who was in love with David, an older man played by William Holden. David had never noticed that the young Sabrina had feelings for him, as he considers her as only a teenager.

But everything changes when after two years of being out of town, she comes back home from Paris acting completely different, like an elegant new woman, and both David and his brother Linus, played by the amazing Humphrey Bogart, fall for her. What is she going to do now? You definitely should get yourself some popcorn and watch this movie.

#20. Bridesmaids (2011)

Rom-coms has been considered cinema-rubbish, but we can't deny that they make us really laugh, and this movie isn't the exception. The storyline is centered around Annie Walker (Kristen Wiig) whose life is a complete disaster. She is going through a really hard time because her boyfriend broke up with her, her bakery is ruined, and she has to get a job quickly to pay the rent.

Her best friend Lilian, played by Maya Rudolph, is getting married and asked Annie to be her maid of honor, but when she meets the other bridesmaids, she instantly gets jealous of Helen (Rose Byrne), and they secretly compete for Lil’s friendship, and when they have to organize the wedding together it's when the fun begins!

#19. The Philadelphia Story (1940)

This movie was based on the Broadway play and it's become a classic, and with stars such as Katharine Hepburn, Cary Grant and James Stewart it couldn't have been different. The film was one of the first to make marriage, divorce and love something to laugh about.

The main story is about Tracy Lord who was married to C.K. Dexter Haven, but when they agree to get divorced, she is ready to start a new relationship with George Kittredge, and as you can guess nothing will end as expected, there is a list of events that make Tracy change her mind in a really surprising way.

#18. Love Actually (2003)

Written and directed by Richard Curtis, a specialist when we talk about rom-coms, this movie show the love story of a lot of couples, which allows us to see stars as Hugh Grant, Liam Neeson and the brilliant Keira Knightley. These couples are going through different stages in their relationships and it keeps us watching all the time.

Some of the couples are having difficulties and they have to decide what to do, while others are having their happiest time together and agree to take the relationship to the next level. This is something that we've all been through and therefore makes us relate, a holiday classic that everyone must see no matter the season.

#17. Sleepless In Seattle (1993)

This movie was written by Nora Ephron and it stars Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan so you won't be disappointed. Everything starts with a brokenhearted father who has lost his wife and now has to raise his eight-years-old child alone, so they move to Seattle in order to start a new life. Jonah, his son, is worried about him, so he calls to a radio show and insists to make him talk about his feelings.

Thanks to the radio show, a lot of women are touched and want to get in touch with him by sending him letters, one of them is a reporter, Annie who asks him to meet at the top of the Empire State Building, and the date was on Valentine's day, isn't that romantic? It wasn't easy for Sam but with Jonah's help, everything flows perfectly.

#16. It Happened One Night (1934)

How could we forget about the chemistry between Clark Gable and Claudette Colbert? It’s impossible! In this screwball comedy, Ellen Andrews, or Ellie is the heiress of a huge fortune and she is in love with the wrong man, a man who only is near her because of her money.

Her father isn’t very happy about her relationship and to make matters worse, she wants to get married with him, so he decided to keep her in his yacht, but she escapes and takes a bus to New York and during the trip she meets Peter Warne, a reporter who is about to make her change her mind about love. Isn’t that cute?

#15. Moonstruck (1987)

What can we say about this movie with the amazing Cher? She seems to do everything well, as she is a great singer and an excellent actress who played Loretta Castorini, a widowed woman living in New York City with her family, but she is having problems when she is about to get married.

She agreed to marry a man she doesn't love, Johnny Cammareri, played by Danny Aiello, and when he has to leave the town for some days, she has a meeting with Nicolas Cage, her fiancé’s brother, to invite him to the wedding, but they start having feelings for each other and everything gets extremely funny and also complicated!

#14. How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days (2003)

Kate Hudson plays Andie Anderson, a young woman who writes for a women's magazine, but when her best friend breaks up with her boyfriend, she starts writing and article called "How to lose a guy in 10 days", and it isn't all, because she is definitely going to try her "How to" list with a real man.

Ben Barry, an advertising executive played by Matthew McConaughey, bets his boss that he can make any woman fall for him in 10 days time and this is the point when Ben and Andie meet in a bar and the funny story begins. If you want to know the rest, then you have to watch it!

#13. Coming To America (1988)

If Eddie Murphy is in a movie, you know that it is guaranteed that the film is going to be a success, but what happens if in addition to acting in the movie, he is also the creator? Well, we bet it is a double success! And it was, because even in these days it still is one of the best romantic comedies ever!

This film shows Eddie Murphy playing an African prince called Akeem, who after turning 21 years old decides to travel to the USA with his best friend Semmi, played by Arsenio Hall, to find an honest woman to get married, but he ends up working in a fast food restaurant to win the heart of Lisa, played by Shari Headley.

#12. Something's Gotta Give (2003)

If you want to laugh, then you definitely have to watch this movie with Jack Nicholson playing Harry, a man who prefers to date only young women, and Diane Keaton as Erica, a mature and successful playwright. This movie shows how love can find us at anytime and anywhere.

But if you think that they are the only big stars in this movie, let us tell you that there is even more! Keanu Reeves is also part of the cast, playing a doctor who eventually had to save Harry's life while he has feellings for Erica. Here we have three Hollywood heavyweight to enjoy with a glass of wine whenever we want to.

#11. Bringing Up Baby (1938)

This is a black and white rom-com that you absolutely have to see. This film not only has great actors, but also the writing is amazing. It features the incredible Katharine Hepburn playing Susan Vance, a woman who is capable of anything to have her love near her.

David, played by Cary Grant, is a paleontologist who meets Susan by chance, and as she has mistaken him with a zoologist, she takes him to a house where she has a leopard as a pet, and there is where she falls for him, but he is about to get married with another woman. Do you remember what happens next?

#10. Bridget Jones's Diary (2001)

Renee Zellweger is the big star in this romantic comedy based in Fielding's popular novel, she is a thirty-something single woman and she's very worried about her weight , everyday she goes to work and fantasizes about Hugh Grant who plays her boss, Daniel.

Everything changes when she has to visit her parents for a New Year's party and she meets Mark Darcy, interpreted by Colin Firth, but then Daniel starts sending her some flirty emails and invites her to have a dinner together. She likes both guys, but who will she choose?

#9. The Holiday (2006)

Everybody has secretly wished to find the real love during a holiday, right? And that's what happened in this lovely Rom-Com. While in London,Iris, played by Kate Winslet, discovers that the man she is crazy about is now engaged, and she has the worst time of her life!

Meanwhile in Los Angeles, Cameron Diaz as Amanda, has recently broken up with her boyfriend. So desperate to have a break, Iris and Amanda decide to switch houses. Then, crazy things start to happen. This is a movie that everybody should see!

#8. Amelie (2001)

And we get to the wonderful Amelie. Although this is a movie that not everybody would list as a romantic comedy, we strongly believe that this film has done its thing to be in that category, and it’s an exquisite French film* that could not be missing on our list because it has become a classic!

The curious Amelie, played by Audrey Tautou, is an 18-year-old waitress who is determined to bring happiness to others and encourage them to follow their dreams, and although love has not been her final goal, she discovers it thanks to Nino, a young man who has a strange hobby.

#7. While You Were Sleeping (1995)

We bet that you might have seen this movie a dozen times, and a movie with Sandra Bullock couldn't be out of this list. She plays Lucy, a woman who is crazy about Peter, played by Peter Gallagher, she thinks he is the man of her dreams although they are completely strangers.

Everything changes when he is is involved in an accident and she saves his life, but he is in a coma and when she visits him in hospital, there the problems begin, because a nurse introduces her as Peter's fiancé to his family, and although she was embarrassed at first, she starts enjoying being part of his big family.

#6. My Big Fat Greek Wedding (2002)

This movie was written and played by Nia Vardalos who plays Toula Portokalos and narrates the movie, and although she has only three aims, to marry a Greek man, have Greek babies and raise them according to Greek traditions, she is in trouble when she falls for a non-Greek man.

But despite what her family thinks, they really love each other, so she decides to continue their love story secretly until it is discovered, and her family has to gradually accept her boyfriend as a new member. Now he and his quiet family have to adapt to the big and generous way of living of Toula's parents. Ready for our top 5?

#5. My Best Friend's Wedding (1997)

This is another Julia Roberts' film that can't be left out of this list. She plays Julianne, a woman who, during college, decided to end her relationship with Michael, played by Dermot Mulroney but they made an agreement that if none of them were married by the age of 28, they would get back together and get married.

Imagine what happens when they are both 28. While she is working, she receives a call saying he is in Chicago and that he wants to see her. Julianne was extremely happy to hear about him but something inside her broke when they met, because he invited her to his wedding, now she has to make him change his mind before it's too late.

#4. You've Got Mail (1998)

And of course, this list wouldn't be complete without this wonderful movie! It was one of the first movies to show how it is to meet an online lover, a thing that is super common nowadays with a lot of apps and social networking sites.

With two big Hollywood stars starring in the movie, like Meg Ryan playing Kathleen and Tom Hanks as Joe, this film was an instant success. They both are owners of a bookstore and they seem to hate each other, but when they are chatting behind their laptops' screens, the story completely changes. This is one of our favourite movies ever!

#3. Beauty And The Beast (1991)

This is definitely going to take us back to our childhoods! This tale is as old as time, but it still has a place in our hearts and Disney was really clever when they thought about turning this tale into an animated musical in which romance and fantasy match perfectly.

You might remember Beast was once a prince, but he was punished because of his vanity and also his servants were turned into household objects, the only way for him to break the spell is to learn to love others. Some years later Belle gets to the castle and we bet that you remember their dance scene. It’s an amazing movie to watch from time to time.

#2. When Harry Met Sally (1989)

This is definitely one of the best rom-coms ever, with a super writer like Nora Ephron and a super young Meg Ryan, this movie has melted a lot of hearts, making people laugh and cry. In 1977 Sally and Harry, played by Billy Crystal are good friends, as he is dating her friend, but an unnecessary comment changed everything and now Sally hates him.

Some years later, they meet again by chance and after a talk, they become friends again and they get very close, and when they are apart, they feel lonely. That led Harry to propose Sally, and this movie showed us how real love finds a wayeven 12 years after their meeting.

#1. Notting Hill (1999)

And the #1 spot goes to another movie with Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant in Notting Hill, and it doesn't matter how many years have passed since the film was released, when we see them together, we only want to see them in action. This film shows the world of two very different people.

Anna Scott is one of the most famous women in the world, as she is a talented actress, while William is the owner of a bookshop in London One day they meet at the bookshop and then we can't wish another thing than seeing them fall in love for each other, everything while she escapes from the paparazzis. The list has come to the end, but now it's time to turn on the TV and watch them again.
