#30. Helen Mirren
Helen Mirren is one of the most acclaimed actresses of all time and has won multiple awards, including an Academy Award for her portrayal of Queen Elizabeth II in The Queen.
This being said, it may come as a shock that she was also nominated for a Razzie for her role as Sarah Winchester in Winchester. But, truth be told, her performance was ridiculously cheesy and over-dramatic.
#29. Robert De Niro
Robert De Niro has been in many serious movies, and has even landed quite a few Oscar nominations, but in recent years, he has appeared in many silly comedies.
For his role in Dirty Grandpa, he got a lot of backlash. You know what character he plays in the movie? A dirty grandpa, obviously, and nobody wanted to see that.
#28. Sandra Bullock
Academy-Award-winning actress Sandra Bullock actually accepted her Razzie in person when she won for her role in All About Steve. You don't see that every day, don't you?
But not only that! She also brought a whole group of people for support who wore "team Sandra" T-shirts. At least she has a sense of humor! I think I like her even better now!
#27. Al Pacino
Al Pacino has been in many great movies, having received a whopping 9 Academy Award nominations. Therefore, it may come as a surprise that the same man who portrayed Vito Corleone to perfection was also nominated for a few Razzies.
This being said, Pacino has had his fair share of lousy performances. He was nominated for a total of 5 Razzies, the most deserving one being the one for his role in Jack and Jill, one of the worst movies ever made.
#26. Michael Caine
Who would've thought that the great Michael Caine was nominated for three Razzies? Despite his many great movies, he was in a few silly ones in the '80s.
The most notable of his failures was Jaws: The Revenge, who literally no one bothered to watch. It's technically a horror film, though I seriously doubt it would even scare a toddler.
#25. Marlon Brando
Winner of 3 Academy Awards and a few more Golden Globes, Marlon Brando was once the greatest actor around. However, he went on a downward spiral toward the end of his career.
He infamously took any role that was offered to him, showed up late (or didn't show up at all), and had to have his lines read to him through an earpiece. His worst work was in The Island of Dr. Moreau.
#24. Emma Watson
We all loved Emma Watson in the Harry Potter saga and the recent hit Little Women, but what was she thinking when she signed up for The Circle? God only knows.
Her performance was flat, to say the least. She was nominated but didn't win the Razzie that year, and Tyler Perry took it home instead. Saved by the bell, Emma.
#23. Sir Laurence Olivier
Sir Laurence Olivier is one of the greatest legends of British cinema, and he received over a dozen of Oscar nominations both for his acting and directorial work. But at the same time, he won not one, but two Razzies.
The first one came for his part in Inchon, a movie that nobody has ever heard about (luckily), while the second one was for The Jazz Singer. It all happened in the '80s, and people quickly forgot about it.
#22. Christopher Walken
Christopher Walken either delivers an amazing performance or a terrible one, there's no in-between. On the one hand, we'll never forget his terrific Oscar-winning performance in the war drama The Deer Hunter
But on the other hand, he was nominated for the Razzies two years in a row for The Country Bears in 2002, and for two movies, Kangaroo Jack and Gigli, in 2003.
#21. Mary Tyler Moore
Mary Tyler Moore mostly received praise for her performances, but that wasn't the case when she played Charlotte Dreyfus in Six Weeks, a very, very cheesy movie.
The film didn't do so bad critically, but her performance was not well-received at all. We definitely expected more from an actress with 9 Golden Globe nominations behind her back.
#20. Peter O'Toole
Peter O'Toole was known for taking his career very seriously, and he went down in history after winning an Academy Award for his work in the epic film Lawrence of Arabia.
Therefore, the world was shocked when he accepted a role in Club Paradise, a movie about a fireman who tries to turn a nightclub into a resort. The movie was as bad as it sounds, and O'Toole got a Razzie for it.
#19. Sean Penn
Sean Penn is now known as one of the best actors in Hollywood, and even received two Academy Awards for his roles in Milk and Mystic River.
However, it took him a long time to be taken seriously. The fact that he starred in Shanghai Surprise alongisde then-wife Madonnain the '80s severely damaged his reputation and earned him a Razzie. It took him years to prove himself as an actor.
#18. Winona Ryder
Although she is doing fine now, the early 2000s weren't kind to Winona Ryder. She was caught shoplifting and her reputation was hurt, and the only movies she got work in weren't the best.
Her role in the Adam Sandler comedy Mr. Deeds got poor reviews and earned her a Razzie for Worst Actress. Luckily for her, it all changed for good after she received her first Oscar nomination for The Age of Innocence in 1993.
#17. Woody Harrelson
Woody Harrelson has had many incredible roles and brought to life amazing characters, and he even received three Academy Award nominations, the last one for Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.
However, his role as David Murphy from Indecent Proposal was definitely not one of his strongest performances. The movie itself was criticized and his performance didn't make it any better.
#16. Richard Dreyfuss
The great Richard Dreyfus made history at the Razzies because he was nominated in the very first award ceremony for his role in The Jazz Singer. I'm not sure whether that's something to be proud of, really.
In subsequent years, he got nominated a few times more, but then again he was nominated for an Academy Award and a Golden Globe, so... I'm not sure what are my views about him.
#15. John Travolta
John Travolta's career has been weird. He has received critical acclaim for many of his roles, and he has won us over with his dance moves in Pulp Fiction, Hairspray, and Saturday Night Fever.
But on the other hand, he has also starred in some of the worst movies in history. In total, he has received 12 Razzie nominations, being the most recent winner of the Worst Actor award.
#14. Isabella Rossellini
Isabella Rossellini got the acting bug from her talented parents, actress Ingrid Bergman and director Roberto Rossellini, but it didn't bite her quite as hard.
While she has had great performances (including a Golden Globe nomination), her Razzie nomination for her role in Tough Guys Don't Dance made it hard for her to be taken seriously.
#13. Jon Voight
Anaconda is a hilariously terrible movie that somehow got very big names, such as Jon Voight, to star in it. Perhaps the studio offered him a lot of money, otherwise, there's no explanation.
Not only was he nominated for his role in the movie, but also for two others, with a total of 3 nominations that year. Taking this into account, it may come as a shock that he's also an Academy Award winner.
#12. Angelina Jolie
The apple does not fall far from the tree. Much like her father, Jon Voight, Angelina Jolie is both known as an incredible actress and as a Razzie winner.
She received an Academy Award for her role in Girl, Interrupted, but at the same time, she was nominated a whopping four times for a Razzie, most notably for her role in Lara Croft: Tomb Raider.
#11. Robert Redford
Robert Redford had one of the most incredible careers before he retired in 2018. He won many awards, including an Oscar for his directorial work in Ordinary People.
However, let's not forget that he's also received a Razzie. Just like Woody Harrelson, Redford was nominated for his role in Indecent Proposal, a movie that nobody seemed to enjoy.
#10. Jennifer Garner
The fact that Jennifer Garner was nominated for a Razzie for her role as Sydney Bristow in Alias still baffles people, because the role also got her a Golden Globe and a SAG Award.
What most people agreed on was her second Razzie nomination for her role of Riley North in Peppermint, which was not her best work. She definitely didn't receive any Golden Globes for that one.
#9. Diane Lane
The amazing Diane Lane did not have the best start in the acting world. Just five years into her career as an actress, she got nominated for a Razzie for two different movies in one year (Streets of Fire and The Cotton Club).
She didn't win, however, and she slowly became more and more successful. Luckily, these nominations did not slow her down. She even received an Oscar nomination for her work in Unfaithful.
#8. Olivia Newton-John
Olivia Newton-John became famous around the world for her role in Grease, and while she is a very talented singer, her acting choices have always been terrible.
Right after Grease, she starred in Xanadu, a movie everyone tried to forget. She was nominated for a Razzie and found it hard to get more serious acting roles afterwards.
#7. Christopher Reeve
Christopher Reeve was one of the kindest people to ever step foot in Hollywood. Everybody loved him, and he was definitely the best Superman ever.
But nobody's perfect, and Reeve also had his bad acting moments. He was nominated for a Razzie for his role as Blaine Bingham in Switching Channels, a movie that should be forever forgotten.
#6. Tim Curry
TIm Curry has portrayed many iconic characters, such as the original Pennywise in It and Dr. Frank-N-Furter in The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
But the Razzies make exceptions for no one and he fell victim to them in 1995 for his role in Congo, a movie you've probably never heard of. FYI... you really shouldn't watch it.
#5. Robert Urich
Robert Urich was one of those great stars who took things with a grain of salt and was able to laugh at his own faults. He received many accolades for his work, including two Golden Globe nominations, but he's had his ups and downs too.
Surprisingly, he was excited when he was nominated for his work in Turk 182, so much so that she thanked the Razzies for the honor. We can't say he doesn't have a sense of humor.
#4. Jamie Dornan
Everyone knows the amount of backlash that Jamie Dornan received for his role as Christian Grey in Fifty Shades of Grey, but he laughed all the way to the bank with the loads of cash the movies brought him.
Still, despite of this, he has received critical acclaim for all his other roles, and he received a BAFTA nomination for his performance in the 2013 drama film The Fall.
#3. George C. Scott
George C. Scott's role in The Exorcist III shows the power of money. The Exorcist was great, but it did not need two sequels, and that's a fact.
If a studio puts enough money in it, however, big stars will show up. Scott was not happy, however, when he was nominated for a Razzie for his participation in the movie but hey, you signed up for it!
#2. Amy Irving
Amy Irving, much like Olivia Newton John, received critical acclaim for her musical talents but not for her acting. In fact, she must have set a new record after winning an Oscar and a Razzie for the same film.
Her role in the movie Honeysuckle Rose earned her a Razzie, but the song she made for the movie, On the Road Again, got her an Academy Award.
#1. Halle Berry
Halle Berry is the ultimate queen of the Razzies, all thanks to her infamous role in Catwoman. The movie was nominated for Worst Director, Worst Movie, Worst Screenplay, and Worst Actress.
However, the Oscar-winning actress put on a brave face and showed up to the award ceremony to accept the awards and laugh it all off. What a queen!
