Icing The Area
A cool compress can help reduce swelling and redness. If you don't have an ice globe, it is ok. You can just look for ice in your freezer, wrap it in a clean paper towel and hold it against the breakout.
Using some kind of towel is always recommended to ensure that you don’t hurt your skin with a frozen ice cube because that can worsen the pimple.
Sulfur Masks
Another option is to layer a sulfur mask on your breakout. Sulfur not only helps to draw out impurities, but it's also great for calming inflammation, which is very important for acne treatment.
Apply the mask on clean skin and specifically on the affected areas. It is important to let it dry for a few minutes and then rinse thoroughly with water in order to remove it.
Pimple Patches
We know that the best we can do is to leave cystic acne alone. Otherwise, we could cause more irritation, but for really stubborn blemishes, pimple patches are great.
They are an effective spot treatment, without drying out skin, and they also keep you from picking at zits. Some of them are barely visible on your skin!
Topical Products
If you want to minimize the number of breakouts on your skin, try incorporating a topical acne treatment into your skincare routine, such as creams and cleansers.
Topical products improve acne by stopping the growth of acne-causing bacteria, and they can also help reduce inflammation and the number of blocked pores.
Facials
If you're prone to breakouts, try getting regular facials. This kind of skin treatment cleanses pores, exfoliates away dead skin cells, and treats common skin concerns.
It will be even better if you choose a facial designed for acne-prone skin because it may help decongest the pores and kill acne-causing bacteria from growing in the first place.
